tThe Connecticut Yankee is a sports-lovers paradise. Baseball rules. Followed by football, and then, the rest. The Giants, Red Sox, 49ers & Patriots draw the most diehard fans. To accommodate their fervency, we invest in satelite-expanded coverage during MLB & NFL seasons. Five televisions (two of which are of the big screen variety) are strategically placed throughout the restaurant. During big games, the sound on the televisions are raised, and the level of excitment & intensity with it. Most of our staff have experienced a 50% loss in our ability to hear when these big games take place. So, if you end up with snow peas when you asked for blue cheese, please be kind & speak louder next time.

Hundreds of pictures depicting some of the most exciting moments in sports adorn the walls. Our menu is wittily peppered with well know sports figures, headlining various entrees, salads, soups, and sandwiches. do you choose the Bill Buckner or the Larry Birdger? The Don Zimmer or the Joe Montana? The Wade Boggs or the Rico Petrocelli? These are tough choices, and the answer usually depends on what wins out- allegiance or appetite.

The Yankee sponsors softball teams every year, and is a regular meeting place for any sport taking place down the block at Jackson Park. We prefer if you call ahead to book large groups, but if not, we will try our best to squeeze you in. Because of our proximity to SBC & Candlestick parks, and our plethora of parking options, we should be you primary destination before & after the game. If you lucky enough not to have tickets, then the choice is obvious: you come here & stay here.

The Connecticut Yankee has been around for many years. our sports enthusiasts are one of the most important reasons why. As long as there is sport, the Yankee will be here. And so should you................

We'll see ya @ the next big game.
